Tired of redownloading a game every patch.

So I have been having an issue as of late. Every time a games needs an update it usually causes a complete reinstall of the whole game. Even a 400Mb to a 10Gb download seems to cause this. An it doesnt matter where the game is even downloaded too, external
or internal it does this. I have also caught this happening to a game I recently moved from the internal to the external..

What can I do to stop this from constantly happening...

Agreed on the slaughterfish problem with a follower I've just gotten tired of seeing draugr in every dungeon I go to. Now, with the 1.2 patch, ancient & elder dragons tear me up... burning through my 400 HP in almost one Thu'um attack.

This may be due to network interruption, can you share your detailed network statistics from under network settings? Also, if you're wireless instead of wired, can you test a wired connection to see if there's any change?

Also, manually go into your system memory and delete every Skyrim update, then redownload the patch.

Skyrim has had issues where a new patch doesn't override the old and causes glitches because of it.

Download the patches for the game and redownload the DLC

Luckily I do not have to redownload the patches, but my game is corrupted. So I need to redownload. Again.
