    Tips to avoid console overheating as things get warmer.


    Just a heads up, if you're not usually in this kind of heat and have no AC/are unable to cool your room. This CAN affect your console, make sure it has good airflow and is dust free. Maybe even moreso than normal. If the ambient temp is high, consider a external fan blowing on it

    !. If console is in even a semi enclosed space consider putting it in the open.

    2. Make sure vents and fans are clear of dust or buildup. (blow out with compressed air)

    3. Try to keep ambient room temp down when console is on.

    4. If you can't do #3 consider a small fan blowing directly onto the console air intakes,

    5. If you continue to get heat related shutdowns after taking all the steps you might want to contact support, stop using the console so as not to cause more damage.

    Where is your console located? I had mine in a TV Stand and it would constantly get hot, some things you can do are:

    - Install games, this helps the console run with less work.

    - Purchase a fan/cooler for your console, this will help redirect the heat if it's in an enclosed place.

    - Try lowering the temp in your room, if your room is warmer, the console is warmer.

    - Ensure that the vents are clean and uncovered.

    - If none of these help, then you may need to have your console checked out to see if there are other issues with your Xbox.

    Here are some other handy tips for cooling your system.

    I've noticed the PS4 feels a little warmer but never had no problem with either overheating.

    If this only occurs when playing games it may be an overheating issue. So please check that your One has enough space around it for proper ventilation and that there are no things blocking is air outlets.

    Is it warmer then usual when it shuts off?

    Is it off on an instant or is it shutting down?

    Is your power supply connected directly to an outlet in the wall or maybe a surge protector?

    Xbox hard resets itself everytime I turn it on.

    Is it turning of almost immediately? It could be a problem with the cooling system. The console turn off to avoid overheating.

    This is a problem that most people have. If your power brick is on a carpeted area it can't breeth and it is a lot more prone to overheating. Another tip I can suggest is to keep it elevated or put it on a hard surface so that air can get underneeth
    it preventing it for overheating. Also do the same to your Xbox 360 put it on a hard surface so air can get under it too. You can also purchase and intercooler to help your Xbox 360 from overheating. Fallow these tips and you can expand the life of your Xbox
    360 console from the dreaded RED RING OF DEATH.
