Timesplitters Future Perfect made compatible with Xbox One's backwards compatibility.

Since there is no current known plans for the future of this franchise, it would be nice to still be able to play at least one of these games, on current gen consoles. Seeing as its an original Xbox game that wasn't supported on Xbox 360, So yeah anyone
else wanting to see this game and perhaps Timesplitters 1 and 2 as well if possible?

Any thoughts?

Currently, no. Even with the current phase of backwards compatibility, those games are not backwards compatible yet. So you would need to purchase the Xbox One version if you want to play them. As far as in the future, it depends on whether or not the games
are made backwards compatible.

Your more likely to see an HD remake than see it become backwards compatible, but neither one is very likely ever happening sadly

 

I would love a new Timesplitters game,even a remake of the previous ones would make me need a change of underwear.

Easily one of the best multiplayer games ever made.

 

Yes, I would love to see a new installment to the TimeSplitters franchise, doing that may kill CoD & Battlefield for good!

 

I still have Timesplitters Future Perfect and play it on my Original Xbox every now and then. Yeah it would be nice to have another Timesplitters

Unfortunately Future Perfect didn't sell well so that's why a sequel never came around. Maybe a Kickstarter could revive the sequel!

 

Wow that sucks that Future Perfect was a commercial failure, according to VGChartz, the Xbox version sold 0.16m copies worldwide, the PS2 version sold 0.24m copies worldwide, and the Gamecube version sold 0.08m copies worldwide.

 

Yeah, Timesplitters Future Perfect wasn't released at the best time. Halo 2 really had so much fanfare that Timesplitters was cast aside and by then the new console generation was about to begin. The Gamecube especially was on its last legs at that point,
sadly.

 

Plus Crytek UK (aka Free Radical) was closed down last year, now we won't ever see the return of TimeSplitters sadly.

 

I don't care when Microsoft makes a game but they should buy the copyrights to timesplitters and reboot the franchise that would be a return of a awesome franchise.
