"Time Played" Stat Bug

Hello all,

As I'm sure most of you know, if you go to your profile on your Xbox Console and then go to "Gaming," you can select a game, then "Stats," and see a bunch of statistics it tracks about your play experience. These stats can range from Multiplayer matches won, to distance traveled in a game, etc. One Stat that most every game has is "Time Played."

I play on an Xbox One X, and I noticed that it didn't track "Time Played" for a few games, specifically DOOM 64, DOOM Eternal, and Mortal Kombat 11. For the first two games, it actually didn't have any stats at all.

This changed a few days ago, where I noticed it now had the "Time Played" stat for all these games, and it appears it was tracking all along without displaying the info. While that's great, while browsing through my various games' stats, I noticed that two titles, Mortal Kombat X and DOOM (2016) have had their "Time Played" reset to "0D 0H 0M" and will not increase no matter how much time I'm putting in to said games.

I also noticed the May System Update is out, and saw this in the Update notes:

"We’ve added a new push notification to the Xbox app that lets you know when your favorite friends go online, and updated achievements game pages to add game stats, including time played." Source.

I suspect this update is what added the Time Played to being displayed in the games I mentioned above where it was originally absent, but I also figure there's a bit of a bug where it's reset certain games like those I also mentioned above.

What's the best way to report a minor bug like this to the Xbox team?

When I press and hold the Xbox Button on my Controller, there is no option to “Report a Problem.” I only have “Turn off console,” “Turn off controller,” and “Restart console.”

I do have access to Feedback Hub on my Windows 10 PC though. Would I be able to report this via that?

That would work but make sure you are clear you are using a console.

make sure the updates for your console are installed

Thanks, done. I actually found this issue is present in the Xbox App on PC as well, which makes sense being a unified ecosystem, so this is a legit PC related bug as well as a console one.

You can report the problem through your Xbox console, so it is looked into, here are the steps to take: Provide feedback as an Xbox Insider | Xbox Support

I’ve noticed that a couple games i play incorrectly track my play stats. But have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
