Yes, game share was the issue. We all have different logins in the same family group so that's not a problem.

I just wish game share worked per IP and wasn't limited to 2. Gaming families that play together shouldn't be punished.

You can register the same profile on different consoles
The thing that you can't do is play at the same time with that profile

Also, right now the game share feature only works for 2 consoles if you're talking about this instead
If you want to share your library with a second Xbox in your house (different profile/account). You need to enable home Xbox for that console
And for your main console you can use your profile as usual

I guess that my biggest concern is simply the price of the three accounts that I now have in the house. I was to be getting the new Xbox One while both my sons have their own Xbox 360's. $100 for all the accounts seemed to be quite fair. Now that's jumped
to $180. Just another cash grab I guess. Hopefully they will come up with something soon. My family accounts were to end in March, and with the free 3 months, that takes us to June. I just don't know if I'm going to keep my early order of the Xbox One. I might,
much to my chagrin, have to switch all three consoles to another brand.

It would depend a lot on how you are using the consoles and how many profiles you are using. As far as the Xbox 360 goes, you'd need a gold subscription on any account that you wanted to play on Xbox Live with. Theoretically you'd only need 1 profile on
the Xbox Ones to have a gold subscription if you set one as
Home Xbox. The easiest thing to do if you want to play on Xbox Live though, is to have a subscription on any of the accounts you're trying to play on.
