    Thought I migrated account, was unable to, and never got warning emails about it.


    I have a Minecraft account, purchased December 18th, 2010. I have the original user name as well as the Transaction ID.

    I have certain expected entitlements, as an Alpha/Legacy account holder. I remember doing the minecraft to Mojang migration (against my desires).

    I swear I remember doing another migration in the last year or two after that. I did not get any warning emails in recent memory.

    I got a warning email today that my account would be deleted and lost because I 'missed the window to migrate'. I was never given any warning for this.

    I would like to speak to a higher level manager and please try to get my account transferred. I can provide transaction IDs, account information, and try to provide anything else necessary. As an Alpha/Legacy owner, I would expect certain rights and privileges owed to me by my Alpha Terms of Sale to be honored, owing to the Alpha ToS never having a revision clause despite efforts to muddy or hide/remove that ToS.

    At the end of the day, all I want is my legacy account retained, PLEASE. I have fond memories of it and with a friend who I lost recently. And I read that you can't migrate accounts to Microsoft accounts that already had the free copy of Bedrock edition so I'm at a loss. I'm frantically trying to contact Mojang Support on their email and twitter and I'm writing here; PLEASE all I want is my account retained. This came out of left field for me with little warning in emails and at a really rough time so I'm hoping some exception or assistance can be offered.

We do as well commend you and appreciate that you had already tried to reach out to Minecraft with this and it is also an effort that is done. For now, we do really want to try and seek some possible options that we can try. As it turns out, the only way for you to possibly get the right and efficient answers to this is within Minecraft itself. Since we do as well commend you being a Legacy/Alpha owner, perhaps they can have priorities with you since you are that type of owner.

    It's best to work with them as they have the necessary tools to further investigate the issue and provide you with a timely resolution with your concern.

    Really appreciate all the time as well and we also commend what you have been doing within Minecraft for a couple of years now and being perhaps to say an Alpha Owner as well, possible that Minecraft will have recommendations with you with this and help you out deeply with your concern.

    Minecraft Support is the best way for you to be answered as well since I can say that efficiently they can provide you with the correct information's or what they need to let you know about your account.

    • Are you referring that you have purchased the game on December 18th 2010?
    • Or are you referring to that you have purchased an account on December 18th 2010??

    I just want to let you know that if you will migrate your account, the activities and achievements will be retained but for the login credentials on the account it will be a Microsoft Account that will be used once you migrated your account.     I bought a copy of Minecraft from Mojang on December 18th, 2010. I have the transaction ID/Term Of Sale email for it still, if need be. It was originally a 'Minecraft.net Account' in their terminology, until a later date when it was changed into a 'Mojang Account'. Eventually it was to be migrated to a 'Microsoft account', which I do remember upon reveal less than 2 years ago nearly all Legacy/Alpha owners were unable to migrate/transfer to a Microsoft account (Especially if they already owned a copy of 'Bedrock Edition' which I believe I received from Mojang or Microsoft at the time of the Mojang account migration?) which I thought for sure I had done but I cannot seem to find any info on. I also did not receive many warning emails about the migration nor deadline until this past warning that I had 'missed the deadline'.

    I have reached out to Mojang, and so far you are the first ones to respond!

    Looking forward to hopefully being able to resolve this in a fashion that I would greatly appreciate :)
