If you saw this promotion on the dashboard of your console and you are currently a Silver member (as in you don't currently pay for Xbox Live), then the usual solution is that you need to add a credit card to your account first. The reason being is that
these 1 month free promotions automatically renew themselves after the free month is over, so it needs a credit card to charge. Of course you can get the free month and not pay for any additional months, you just need to turn off automatic renewal after you
activate the promo, which you can do either through this website or by contacting Xbox Customer Support. Hope this helps.

For the price point gamepass is at I feel it's a very good competitive price for the amount of games given for you to play that are easily downloadable. If I remember correctly gamefly way more for just 2 games a month and those you had to wait for.
