This game has lost its hype? And reputation!

Just take a look at the forums. Only 3 pages of mostly complaints. You got about 3 weeks left before launch and absolutely no hype what so ever. Lost all your good game designers when they left for Titanfall a game that I have grown to enjoy, now your
trying to copy them by giving your game characters jump suits and over paying a big time actor to draw some attention to a dead game. Look I told you and many others did also that you should have taken mw1 or mw2 and built on those games. Instead you just
kept changing how things are done but keeping the same prestige system over many games. Prestige is cool but a basic fps was what we wanted. Mw1 was a great game and if you had any sense you would do what the guys at Halo are doing and either re-release
cod 4 or cod 4, waw, and mw2 or go back to those games and make something more like them.

I liked it when Iw made their version of cod small maps with decent real life weapons, and a basic set of killstreak rewards and the barrett .50 was the baddest weapon in the game. And when you finally got that gold desert eagle, you couldn't wait to show
it off. And Treyarch stuck to games with larger maps, and still offered some vehicles and it also gave you an alternative to the bf series. The most memorable Treyarch cod game for me was WaW where it was still WWII, you had basic weapons, and killstreak
rewards and the kids had zombies to keep them at bay.

I gonna do what I did last year with ghosts, and wait a couple of weeks and take a look at what others are saying. I got Ghosts as a gift for Christmas, and didn't expect it. I did play it for a month, and I did inform everyone who buys me gifts not to
get me a cod game this year. Good luck to you Activision, I hope you take a look back at the series and figure out what went wrong.

Has Microsoft lost its way?

The more and more I think about the question "was this a good 500$ investment?" The more and more I become disappointed with the xbox one, do you remember when the 360 came out? It completely changed gaming but the xbox one already has out dated technology
that computers from 2yrs ago already had I understand PC's will ALWAYS be better than consoles but this technology in the xbox one is already so far behind and to make it even worse the ps4 is 100$ less with better technology in it so I payed 100$ more for
a system with inferior technology. At the announcement of the Xbox one all it was, was them talking about kinect, tv, nfl, SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS

They've strayed away from gaming they don't care about gamers they made a inferior all in one system. if I wanted to watch tv I'd just watch tv I get on my gaming console to play games and chat with my friends not to watch tv.

sorry for the long rant Microsoft and everyone on here but I've stood loyal to Microsoft for almost 6yrs and I feel like they've really gotten away from what made the 360 so popular and amazing

The Xbox One is far from underpowered. Yeah maybe it could have packed a little more but it has loads of potential to keep great games playing and looking great for the years to come thanks to it's ability to build power upon itself. You should never expect
full power out of the box on day one because it just won't happen, if you did, you should have waited. I personally got mine to get in on next-gen early and play the new exclusives and although £400+ may have been a little too much, I do not regret buying
it at all.

 

As much as this doesn't make sense, this will be the first COD game that I am buying that I am not excited for...well see how it turns out. Maybe my low expectations will be better off.

 

I think there is hype there but it is more muted and calm than in previous years. I have seen fans old and new claim that this Call of Duty looks promising, but they say it with an air of trepidation as they don't want to be wrong again.

I haven't seen for years so many people in the comments boards of sites like IGN, Gamespot and Polygon actually warming to the series. Yes the hype isn't off the charts, but for once that may be a good thing as there will be less people burned when low expectations
are undoubtedly met.

To provide an example. 'The Evil Within' is one of my game of the year candidates and that is primarily because my expectations were so low it exceeded them all. Call of Duty would actually benefit from fans hitting a reset button on their own expectations.
We all look at Modern Warfare as the pinnacle of the franchise but why? Was it that good? Or did it just blow rather low expectations out the water? I believe the latter is plausible.

Advanced Warfare has an air of buzz and optimism around it. The graphics are top notch, the game play has evolved and it looks to breathe fresh new life into a tired franchise. I think subdued anticipation will do this game the world of good as it's hard
to be disappointed if you're not expecting much in the first place.

 

lol...I actually really liked Ghosts. This one looks a bit too....twitchy for me.

 

I would have enjoyed ghosts if more played it on the one. I had a hard time finding ffa matches and everytime I did get into one. I was always put into a match where you have the guy with super bad connection going 30-0 and everyone else suffered as a
result. In order for cod to survive they need to go back to letting the host with the best connection host rather than the worse. Don't slow down the game because of people with bad connection. As for the graphics for ghosts I thought they were a bit dull
and with all the complaints i read about people not being able to pick out enemies I wasn't the only one. I still will not get this game a launch as I stopped doing that after mw3! I will pick it up if things have made a change for the better and I don't
read where the game sucks or lags.

 

Maybe the game has suffered from changing too much. I rather liked the dual wielding system from mw2, I also liked being able to call in multiple killstreak rewards from mw2. Bo1 was a great setup with being able to earn cash and purchase things like weapons
and face paint. I didn't like anything from mw3, b02 had a great tournament system and I enjoyed unlocking gold and diamond camo. I miss the simple perk system from mw1 and waw, and the 3, 5, and 7 killstreak system from mw1 I think keeps things simple.
Have 2 or 3 choices for each.
