My game pass said the code is not yet active and contact the merchant to activate this code.

What if u forgot to tell them can u try to activate it without going bck to the store?

First, thank you so much for contacting us regarding your inquiry/ concern.

Cards are activated at the time of purchase. This isn't done by Xbox. The reason it NEEDS to be done at the time of purchase is simple. People would be able to stack up a ton of cards and walk out with them and then contact Xbox with this same scenario.

You will need to take your bill of sale back to the merchant and have them activate it by following the activation process.

However, if you do have the bill of sale and all numbers match on the cards barcode and the receipt, then I can escalate this ticket for you so those numbers can be matched up and the card can be investigated.

But, i highly reccomend you ask the retailer you bought it from to actually activate it. You aren't refunding it so the "all sales final" will NOT matter. You may want to speak with their manager as you arent asking for a refund. You are requesting something you purchased.

you need to contact the place you purchased from as they did not activate the card at the register/till
