    I recently installed an update for Forza Horizon 5 and was surprised to find that I could not sign in.

    "You may not proceed without being signed into a profile" even though the game had worked fine since I bought it several months ago. I had signed into my Microsoft account, created an Xbox profile, and everything was fine.

    Now, I cannot even sign in to the Forza support website because I get an HTTP error to this effect. What is going on?

    When did this issue start happening? Are you able to sign in on other Microsoft/Xbox websites or apps?

    I see, have you tried playing a different Xbox game to see if it lets you sign in?

    If the issue persists, they may be an issue with your account and I'd recommend contacting Xbox Support: https://support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Hi Kyle,

    This issue started happening yesterday, after installing the update. I can sign on to the Microsoft website just fine, but I appear to have issues when signing into the Xbox website. It logs me in but the "sign in" button persists, and my account data can't be accessed.

    I understand that you are having trouble accessing the games you purchased on your Xbox account. It appears that migrating your Microsoft account from one email address to another caused an issue with the Xbox account associated with the original email address.

    Here are some things you can try to fix the problem:

    1. Verify that you are using the correct email address to sign in to your Xbox account. You may be signed in to the Xbox account associated with the newer email address, rather than the Xbox account associated with the original email address.

    2. If you're sure you're using the correct email address, try resetting your Xbox password. In my experience this can help fix any issues that may be causing the problem.
