    You may have to get whoever is in charge of the family account to make the changes for you.

    Hello Ivan_289,

    This is happening because you have a child account which doesn't allow you to download m rated content. You will need to change the account from a child account to an adult account.

    Can I Purchase a Game for my 9 year old, or can he purchase rated M?

    The parental setting to allow your son to play M rated content do not allow him to download M rated content. It's the same as when your in a store. You can buy an M rated game for your son, but he can't buy it himself.



    You can purchase the content on your (adult) account, and he should have access to it from his account.

    it is because you have to be 18 in order to download any M rated content parental controls should allow you to download M rated games and ad on content but it will NOT allow you to download any videos or demos for M or RP (ratings pending) content unless
    the adult is over 18 and promoted to an adult account sorry.
