    I purchased an Xbox One S a little over a year ago since my two previously owned consoles stopped working less than a day apart. Yesterday, my console turned off by itself and would continue to turn itself off after I would start it. After following customer
    services advice nothing changed, today my xbox has completely stopped working at all. I tried unplugging the cord and waiting, leaving it unplugged overnight, plugging it straight into the wall, etc. The warranty has expired by maybe a month so I cannot send
    it in to be repaired without pretty much paying for a brand new console. I have been an Xbox customer since the 360 came out and would like to continue to do so but this is making it difficult. At this point I am looking to start with a different console brand
    as this has been a recurring issue with all of my Xbox One consoles. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi There,

    Since you've tried everything already, maybe take a browse through
    this thread     and see if some of the tips there will help. If all else fails you might need to buy a new power supply if the Xbox One S still takes a power supply.

    I know this is a little off topic, but that equates to over $1000. That's actually pretty crazy right there. I always find a $35 a year deal on Amazon, which would be less than a third of what you paid over the same time period.

    Back to your topic though, yeah, it sucks. Someone will inevitably try to blame your connection. Criticizing the Xbox One around here are fighting words.

    One of their representatives said a little while ago that they expect to sell something like 25 million 360s over the next five years, so they are going to release a lot of 'next gen' games on both systems concurrently for a while. The same is probably true
    with the PS3. Like SirAngry said, most of the huge third party titles will come out for both of them for at least a couple of years.

    I've had 3 controllers in just over a year and now the third one is starting to drift. Crap is right!
