Yes, you may receive a console ban for using such devices. They're not allowed at all on Xbox because they give you an advantage against other players and also enable features that are not official.
So, it can be considered as console tampering / modification.

If you allow me, it is recommended to suspend the use of this device if you're using it. Please always aim to use official accessories, and in case you are not aware, you can use a keyboard and mouse on games where the developer already enabled the feature.

for example turtle beach stealth ultra comes with a DAC built in no third party non supported device needed

You just.can't use unlicensed.third party devices

If you want to add your third party devices you ask them to support consoles not console makers

Consoles only produce the official channels of support

Whenever your third party device actually willing to support you by providing compatible devices is upto them.not console.makers.as console makers don't own them

Why you say that? telling the mouse and keyboard is taking advantage you can say the Elite control is for advantage too. Only my point of view.
