    There's no closed caption option on YouTube videos on Xbox series X


    There's no closed caption option on YouTube videos on Xbox series X. Every video had the option a few days ago, now they are just on some videos randomly.

    Can't turn off closed captions

    Okay I think I found a fix. Go into the Youtube App in Xbox 360 and find a video with closed captions. I just searched "closed caption" and chose the first video. Closed captions automatically came on, so I pressed "A" and went to "CC" on the option bar
    and clicked to turn captions off.

    Went into Gamecenter Live and the captions were gone!

    Hit A, then select "more options" and select the captions button, from there you can turn it on

    If this doesn't work, you could try reinstalling the app or doing a Power cycle in the console

    This is a characteristic from YouTube, it's not managed by Xbox

    Hi, check your tv settings for something named Closed Captions or something similar and turn that off. Also check the closed captions option on the xbox itself.

    I tried StativeBeatle65's solution and it worked for me!

    Open the YouTube app.. Open a video [the YouTube trends video worked for me].. Press A to bring up the video controls... On the far right of that menu, select the CC button. Select Turn Off Closed Captioning. Exit the app. You're done!

    This helped me turn off Closed Captioning in NHL Gamecenter on an Australian Xbox.
