    There's 25gb of missing space on my Series S.


    So I have noticed this couple of months ago that my Series S was missing 14gb's (at the time) though it was reserved space or DLC data. This week when trying to find space to install Starfield I've noticed the missing gb's increased to 25 which is more than 5% of consoles total storage capacity. Can't seem to find where all that storage space go. Does anyone have a clue of what it can be?

    Before someone asks: -I'm aware the console only has 364gb of storage. The 25gb missing is from that amount. -I've deleted all reserved space data, cleared cache and all my DLC's combined only take around 100mb. -Also, it's not quick resume because I have two consoles and tried to quick resume 5 games on my second one and there's no missing space there.

    My second console is not in the preview program it has the latest public build. My main is on skip ahead can this be the problem? Can this be residual data from all the updates?

    If anyone has an idea of what this can be or tips to try to figure this out I'd be much appreciated. I'm saving system restore as last resort as I really don't want to do that.

    It depends how you're calculating the space used by your games. If you sort by size, that will show the size of your games on their respective tiles, but only the base game sizes; not any DLC.

    Also, the console acts a bit weird after a reset as it doesn't take into account the size of any DLC a game has until after you've launched it at least once, then it will register the DLC for that game and your available space will decrease.

    So, yeah, it's likely nothing is wrong. If you want to be sure, go into "Manage game" for each of the 7 games and look at the total install size, including DLC, and add that up.

    Sometimes it can be included with a game purchase, depending on the version you buy.

    But yeah, if you go into "Manage game" for each of your 7 games, you can see the full install size, including any DLC. Given that you only have 7 games installed, it would only take a couple of minutes to check it out.

    Hello LordXeno, you have done the correct procedure in the console, sometimes the system may not delete the temporary system files.

    So try a cache wipe and system reset.
