    'There was a problem with the update' - new Xbox Series S


    Hi! I was lucky enough to be selected in the Pilot Program recently, got my Series S in the mail, only for it to not download the 4 GB updated needed to use the console. Set up was going great until then, but it just searches and searches forever for a connection, even though it's already connected to my wifi (which has no other issues currently), and then eventually times out.

    I can't skip it and go back to the main menu, I can't factory reset from here, I tried hard resetting, using an older controller, moving rooms, etc. I'm at a total loss here, a super frustrating experience so far - any feedback would be great!

    Try again, check the network or turn off console are my only options. In my hours of research, it looked like others had this issue but I'm not sure if the problem was diagnosed or not! Thanks again.

    Hi it's a Xbox series s, any other information do you need? The problem is other uses like Playstation have a 36g update and pc but me as a Xbox series s user have a 144gb which is the full game to be update why it was just suppose to be a 36g update.

    So I ended up purchasing a new Xbox. I purchased a series S for the time being. I have sold the Series X, before selling the issue still persisted. After buying a new series S the problem no longer is an issue for me. I am still looking to buy a new series X in the near future in hopes of the problem to be resolved. Thank you for you assistance.

    Hi there. I own an Xbox X series and an Xbox S series. The s series for about a week has had the new update but my X still is the old dashboard. How can I have 2 Xboxs in the same household with different updates going on. If an update is being launched it should be sent out to everyone at the exact same time globally.
