There should be a way to transfer an Xbox account

As the Xbox both grows and userbase and age, a greater amount of users will want to transfer the Xbox account to a new Microsoft account. Aliases exist, but that doesn't help someone wanting to disassociate their Xbox account from their parents' Microsoft account. Neither the parent nor child would want to share an account in the long term, but the account user also wouldn't want to lose all purchases, friends lists, achievements, game progress, etc. I'd love to hear from Microsoft on their thoughts.

It should already be unlocked if it's on the same Xbox.

If not, there is no way to transfer to another account, that I know of.

This should only work out if you can unlink an Activision account from your xbox account. For the Xbox account there is no way to transfer progression to another account. Those are tied to the Gamertag which made them.

If most of the games are arcade games, then you should be fine with them if you log in to your American account onto your British Xbox. Just transfer the licenses and everything should be fine. The retail games are a different matter, some will work, but
some are region locked, and there is no way to transfer them to your new account.
