There is an XBox profile assigned to my Microsoft Account that is not me! How to Delete???

Thanks. No one has access to this laptop except me. It is never used in an area where other people are located. I have had to change all passwords and use Authy authenticator now to access outlook and my Microsoft account, as well as other critical accounts, after a serious security problem last year. So I don't want Microsoft or anyone else assigning anything to my accounts without my expressed permission. I have not noticed any new malicious activity, but the crooks sure keep trying. I spot scam attempts every day and am able to delete them, but all it takes is one accidental click... Have already learned this lesson the hard way.

And, as I have stated below, this Xbox profile name is offensive and I want it totally gone. I'm still looking for a way to do that. Any ideas would be welcomed!

Thanks. I understand that a Microsoft account is not the same as an Xbox profile. Since I have never used Xbox and don't want to create an account, this does not seem to be a good resolution. I don't know what a game tag is or if one is attached. Another member said "Every Microsoft account has a Xbox live profile automatically". The name that they have selected for me has negative connotations. This is why I want to delete it totally remove it from my Microsoft account. Any more ideas?

Thanks Luis. Didn't know about this automatic assignment. I have never used Xbox and no one else has access to this computer. I am annoyed with Microsoft for creating profile for me that I didn't ask for and picking a name that has certain connotations that I do not want associated with me. This is why I want to delete this profile. Any suggestions?

Is there a gametag attached to your xbox profile? It may be a random generated one initiated when you created your Microsoft account. Just guessing.

Hi MarianH2, this definitely does seem like a security concern. But no need to fret, have you possibly noticed any malicious activity on your Microsoft account? Id say for good measure just in case someone has unauthorized access to your account, to change your password as soon as possible. Maybe someone who had access to your device(s) like a family member or friend created an Xbox profile. That is merely just speculation but it is possible and does happen. Hope to resolve this soon!
