    There is a service alert on xbox.com. I need to install an update but it wont. Service error


    I have been trying to download an update on Xbox 360 for Netflix. It won't complete update. There is a service alert on xbox.com. Does anyone know when this will be resolved? Many thanks for any advice.

    Game needs update, but doesn't work at all, can't play the game as a result

    Holy crap man, something is very very wrong with Microsoft at the moment. Not only can you not buy any games digitally right now on the store, i also can't download game updates. In this case it's Trials Fusion. It needs an update but it gives me this
    error message:

    There was a problem with the update. Trials Fusion needs an update, but something went wrong. For help visit: Xbox.com/xboxone/update/help

    So i did that, but nothing helped. The next step the troubleshooter sites tells me to do is using the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool, but that is going to take a while and i really doubt it's going to solve anything.

    It's ridiculous that i even need this update. The console has been in Instant on mode all night last night, and today i have been playing Halo 2. Why didn't it simply install that update then? Anyway....is this all due to the service alert that is still very
    much going on?

    I assume it's the second one? I have bought this game..and now it needs to update. Any way to fix this? Cause heh...i cannot play the game now. It has been like this since friday,come on now.

    Xbox.com has been having a service alert, so that could be the issue, or the game you are playing could have a server error or alert. Its best to keep in touch with the service alert page. hope this gave you a idea of what you are facing.
