    There appears to be a lack of a battery indicator for the gamepad you're using with the XGS...


    All the tell tale signs that my controller batteries are dying like freezing stick movements and some sort of soft disconnect (that's new to me) where the controller doesn't actually turn off...it just stops responding altogether briefly.

    I have no method of checking because it seems third party apps can't tell you the battery level of am XB1 controller.

    You have newest update for your gamepad?

    You have batteries in gamepad try change it for new battery or recharge.

    If I understand you right what you're describing is the indicator for the battery being low. Replace the batteries.

    Now the controller battery indicator's appeared. So i assume all updated now.

    I use Ni-Mh venom battery packs in mine.

    After a while they lose their charge quite quick but very reasonable price, had mine for about 4 years and now looking at getting some new ones.

    Just dont buy sub par quality batteries for your controllers, look after the controller.

    You can also look at finding a retailer near you that sells the Xbox one Play and Charge Kit
