The youtube app still has the audio/video desync?

I miss being able to snap youtube and listen to it in the background. Not all videos on youtube are 100% visual for example comedy videos are mostly audio related. Anyways maybe a new update to the youtube app could allow it to play audio in the background
like spotify, iheartradio and pandora.

Go to System > Settings > Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate mac address > Clear.

If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > Devices and streaming > Blue ray > Persistent storage > Clear persistent storage (three times) > Restart console.

If the issue keeps on happening, you can soft reset the console by going to Settings > System > Console info > Reset this xbox > Reset and keep my games and apps.

I think you're right.... I noticed the audio was sounding a little bit off and the video didn't look as sparkling.

I wont' be using the app anymore... which means turning on my Xbox less.

If PS4 has a good YouTube app. That might be my next gen choice.

Google has started using a different encoding format on YouTube. YouTube videos are ow VP9 encoded and not HEVC. Also, Google has been deliberately throttling videos on some devices, and I won't be surprised Xbox be one of those, based on the fact they
don't release their apps for Windows ecosystem.

I don't think this is a hardware problem but Google needs to update the YouTube app. When you downloaded the video to the USB it would still be VP9 encoded.

I'm not saying that all VP9 videos will not work, but it depends whether they were encoded properly and the amount of throttling being done by Google.
