The Xcloud app software won't detect my right thumbstick or triggers?

I have been using a busted up and broken old wired offbrand 360 controller for most of my time playing on Gamepass games using the web browser, however upon ordering a new controller designed for the series X console I've found that it no longer works with the browser I've been using, that being said I've been able to download the app onto this chromebook and I tested it out by playing Guilty Gear: Strive. It worked fine then but upon trying to play Hitman: World of Assassination or Yakuza Zero I've found that the thumb stick is unresponsive and thetriggers only rotate the camera, again I'm unable to do much here since this is on a chromebook, was wondering if there was a way to get this controller to work or if I'd have to just bite the dust on this one

I am very sorry for what you are going through, I will give you some possible solutions that I hope can help you.

Press and hold the Pair button on your controller for three seconds (the Xbox button will start flashing quickly). On your PC, select the Start button , then select Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices (in Windows 11, select Settings > Bluetooth & devices).

It's a wired only controller, it's unable to pair wirelessly

Slow down for turns. If you're going to try and slide in them, only tap "A" for a second as you start the turn.

When you're shooting someone, make sure to use the right thumbstick to aim for the head and you won't waste so many bullets. Also, after you lock onto someone with the left trigger, press in on right thumbstick to zoom in.

Another slight update. After some experimenting with various games, it seems that the right thumbstick and right trigger buttons are not functioning.

It looks as though I am in need of a new controller.

you use the thumbsticks to move. one of them strafed. holding one of the triggers was like using shift. x was the spacebar. and right trigger was control! it was great replayin these classics. and doom 2 on xbla adds a new campaign by the game developers!
