The Xbox Series X/S d-pads feel uncomfortable.

I recently received my controller via Xbox Design Lab, with the sole reason of ordering it being due to problems with my other controllers (RB on my previous Xbox controller is stuck, and my Switch Pro Controller's starting to drift). It works fine and feels good to hold, but the d-pad is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever felt. More specifically, the way it pushes into my skin while my thumb's resting on it feels a bit painful. Is there any way to get a standard Xbox One controller from XDL, or at least an option to switch out the d-pad for the classic cross shape? I planned on using this controller to play games like Celeste or Hollow Knight on my computer, and it just feels wrong to use a control stick for those games. But now, however, I'm not so sure if I want to even use it. The only problem's how the d-pad feels, the controller itself is fine.

In short, I'd like to have the option to switch out the d-pad in Xbox Design Lab for the classic one.

Hello NARbluebird, as the previous generation of consoles was discontinued, unfortunately so were the controllers.

I believe that only Elite has these options on the XDL website

This works as of so far. Go to console settings, then go to system info.

Do this series of keys to reset it.

Left trigger, right trigger

X,Y

Left bumper, right bumper

X, X

Up on d-pad, down on d-pad

Hope this works

The Xbox Series X controllers will work on Xbox One consoles, and the Xbox One controllers (including the Elite/Elite V2) will work on Xbox Series X too.

If it is a xbox 360 slim I have the code. It's LT,RT,LB,RB,X,Y,Left on d-pad,Left on d-pad and Left on d-pad. It reset my family settings.

Microsoft released a new Xbox controller when they launch the Series X/S

The new design has a new D-Pad (is similar in design to the elite series 1 D-pad), as you said, a new USB-C port due to it's more common to see USB-C cables now

and the share button is a new addition to it.

Xbox One S controllers are known as third generation controllers

Xbox Series X/S controllers are known as fourth generation controllers
