The Xbox app won’t let me change my account it only signs me on immediately

I hope you are well despite all this problem you are going through, I did some internal searches within the community forum and found information that may be useful or of great help to you.

May I know if you tried switching accounts first through the Microsoft store and then using the Xbox app? This step may help you a lot.

If that's not your case, may I know if you tried to repair and reset the app?
First sign out of your account in both the Xbox app and the Microsoft Store and do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > find the Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click on repair and then reset.

Finally, do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows key + R.

Step 2: Enter WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a Command Prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, the Windows Store will open.

Then try signing in again to both the Microsoft Store and the Xbox app with the desired account. If none of this works, I suggest you see the full publication where I got all this information from, since there are many steps to follow to try to solve this problem:

Correct but when I do that the app says I need to sign in to a certain account that was created and then deleted. I have a new adult account that the console is signed into, but the app wants to sign into the old profile. That is the only profile that the app asks for and won’t let me link to it. My console is signed into a new profile but app wants to link to old profile that doesn’t exist anymore

Ok so I can login on the Microsoft home page and Xbox but if I go to the Xbox app on computer it won’t let me sign in same if I go into Minecraft the game it won’t let me sign in also sorry for the late reply

my account is an adult but it won’t let me do the custom gamerpic on the Xbox app

Update: Xbox games and party have been unsuspended but only after I removed and re added my Xbox account to the Xbox. The app won’t let me change my PFP still but at least I can game again. I’m not in a rush to change it but I would prefer for it to actually work since the account suspension has been lifted.
