The Xbox app now supports touch input to control your Xbox remotely

It should be because we know that Xbox consoles have a way to stream the games from the same servers as the mobile apps which support touch screen controls. The Xbox remote play could switch the control inputs by sending a message to the server through the Xbox console when you connect with the Xbox app on your mobile device or the game pass app for PC at least. This would allow touch screens to be another avenue for developers to make more accessibility features for their games. Also, the TV stick is around the corner. What would be a great idea for the TV stick is to have the remote play to work with the stick to allow you to play touch screen games without a controller and have less lag when playing. Since the consoles are not able to get touch screen support for a device can you guys add the support to the remote play feature of the Xbox app for mobile devices and PCs?

If your gyro axis is inverted 90 degrees, ensure that your device’s orientation lock has been turned off.

3. Check your device’s screen magnification settings and reduce if necessary.

It was an idea for the Xbox app. The touch screen controls will act like a button in an Xbox controller when you connect it to Bluetooth while playing remote with your own Xbox.

Yes, you can remotely control your PC (on a local network) from the Wireless Display app provided you have ticked the box on the PC to allow input.

The limitation is that you can only control remotely using an Xbox One controller or the Xbox One media remote. If you have a chatpad attached to the controller (or other accessories) they won't work either. While the console itself supports mouse and keyboard,
the app is not updated to use these peripherals at this stage (very much like the case of Edge browser).

So clarification - yes you can, but only with a controller.

There's already the
Xbox One Media Remote, and you could also already use your smartphone as a remote for the Xbox (with the free, official Xbox App).

The latter option pops up your smartphone's keyboard whenever text input is needed on the Xbox.
