I'm sorry you are feeling inconvenienced however this does not seem to be Microsoft's fault. You have two options when it comes to purchasing movies "Renting" or "Buying". Renting gives you 14 days to start watching the movies and after you start it, 24
hours to finish it. Buying the movie, on the other hand, gives you the opportunity to own the digital movie and watch it whenever you like and add it to your library.

I did PURCHASE the movies. But have NEVER been able to watch more than once. Movie always stops part way through and gives me an error code

So, take that error code, and send it to Xbox Support. I may be a technical error with the purchase, the network, etc. They will be able to find a remedy I'm
sure.

lol. Lots of effort to watch what I payed for. Am now enjoying the movie on Google Play with no issues.

Same issue here (XBOX One) — I can watch trailers but can't actually watch any movies from the Movies & TV app. The spinning loader never even appears, it just drops to the error screen. I've hard-rebooted the router, modem, XBOX, and all the usual suspects.
nothing has fixed the error 0x800c000b. All other streaming video services work fine (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video & Hulu).
