Hi, sorry, been a terrible few weeks.

It appears it's because of the data plan my provider has me on.

The wireless router I have will allow an open NAT type. BUT the provider (Telstra in my case, but commonly AT&T in the states) have me on a type of account that won't let me have an open NAT (e.g. a 4G LTE data plan]

The issues appears because the network carrier NAT's the IP twice causing issues.

The solution is to try and have Telstra swap you over to a 3G data plan. This may work as the IP only gets NAT'd once and people have been successful in using XBox live to get online.

For example: With AT&T customers on the 4G LTE data plan, the device gives an IP of 10.x.x.x [under About your mobile hotspot] but when we go to IPChicken.com or whatismyip.com it was showing a different IP

When the end user switched to a 3G data plan, the device gave a 32.x.x.x and using the same sites like whatismyip.com it showed the same IP.

The router doesn't support uPnP it makes it really hard to use with XBox Live and/or Playstation Network.

So sorting out the network type is the only way.

Here it is September of the same year of this post and it's even worse now it doesn't matter 4G ,5G LTE or Wi-Fi with 5 gigahertz. No matter how I try to play a game on the xcloud the connectivity bars go from Full as I'm literally sitting next to a router all the way down to zero every 5 seconds and soon after gameplay becomes nonexistent there really does need to be something done to address the issue it's been too long now at this point.

Captures work fine when not streaming. The problem is down to how the game bar and xbox console companion app work together . The game bar doesn't know what game I am streaming

I was using my 5g Smartphone as a mobile hotspot and had the same problem.

So I was changing the phone to 4G LTE and it worked fine.
