When I play Assassin's Creed 2 and try save the game, I get the following message:

"Saved options faild. The storage device containing the gamer profile in use has been removed."

I have looked and my profile is saved to the internal hard drive of my 360, One S and Series X. Can someone help me sort this out? As it's preventing me from keeping any progress I make in the game

    :)

Hello, RevolutionMeme1. Thanks for reaching out! My name is Lucas. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

I think there is an issue happening with Assassin's Creed 2 right now. Other user reported the exact same error as you two hours ago:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/...

You can try to remove and add your Xbox profile again to the console to see if the issue persists:

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/xbox-360/my...

Just please perform a power reset after removing your Xbox profile (and before adding it again):

    1. Turn off your console and your router/modem.

    2. Unplug all the cables from both devices (power, HDMI, etc..) and wait 2 minutes.

    3. After 2 minutes, plug all the cables in again on your router/modem and wait for all the lights to show up.

    4. Plug all the cables on your console and turn it on.

    Waiting for your follow-up.

A device containing required content has been removed

I've got the same problem. Right after I started a mission it went to the cut scene at Lena's grave, and then the error pops up and I have to restart the game. So I did... then it happened again and I can't get out of it! I can't even play the game
anymore because it goes automatically to that cutscene and then "error".

-Delete the watch dogs from your hard disk.

    -Get a 8gb or 16gb USB disk.

    -Format it with the xbox.

-Install disc 1 onto the usb drive

-put in the disc 2 when prompted and the game will start.

-when prompted use the hard disk for saved games.

    You should be operational.
