The SSD space is still completely occupied after uninstalling Forza Horizon 4 in the XBOX app

Let me provide some resources to help but please keep in mind the following items:

• Some of the installation files might still be present after uninstalling the game
  
• To remove unnecessary files from the computer after the initial uninstall is complete, you will have two options
  
  • You can use Storage Sense: Free Up Storage Space | Windows Support
    
  • You can also run disk cleanup: Run Disk Cleanup | Windows Support
    

Those should get the space cleaned up and reporting correctly

Yes space in drive “d” is still occupied. i cant find whats occupying that space but in last days as i have tried forza download on “D” so i think space is occupied by the forza.

i still have all my progress in forza horizon 4 after trying this i checked if it was saved before by going on my games and apps then i pressed more options on forza horizon 4 and selected Manage game and add-ons and scrolled down to the Saved data tab
and it says there is 10 MB of reserved space for forza horizon 4.not sure if this is the correctway to chech or if that tells me it is saved but it worled for me. hope this helps.

I have reinstalled the xbox game pass app.

It is still showing Forza Horizon 5 as uninstalled.

When attempting to install, it shows 110gb of storage space free (I know that this should be closer to 220-230gb)- suggesting that the failed install from last night is still hogging drive space.

If I try to install Forza Horizon 5 again, it lingers on "preparing install" before failing without any error messages

It seems like there is some corrupt data somewhere that I need to clear both to free up space and allow me to reinstall the game.

I have had the problem since upgrading to windows 11. what worked for me was going into xbox app settings:

1, reset,

2, repair,

3, uninstall,

4, reinstalling from the xbox website.

Boom it worked. It wasnt just forza 5 either, I uninstalled flight sim 20 to make space on my SSD to see if forza was forcing people to have SSD drives for the game and then found i couldnt get forza or re install flight sim.... its all down to the xbox app as i can see.

good luck people. this is why im a sony fan and proud owner of a ps5 because I then dont have to deal with this **** 24/7.

I got lucky here.

Try only messing about with the xbox app.

I didnt see an issue on the MS store side.
