The Simpsons Xbox 360 console

I have just opened a Xbox 360 console (The Simpsons) which I purchased some 10 years ago,, reason for opening outer box had minor water damage from a water leak in our loft.

I decided to take the items out and check any further damage and decided to connect the console to the brick only to find out the console as Red rings of Death.....

I have read many forums, but is their a way of fixing this issue without using towels, tooth picks or cotton tips......i.e. permanent I would not want to throw this way due to it's rarity of only 100 worldwide.

Backwards Compatibility Playing Original Games

Will the backwards compatibility play original xbox games like Buffy and The Simpsons games or just 360 games?

 

Self repair is a violation if the terms of service and cannot be discussed on the forums.

 

I agree, I do not wish to self repair, not withstanding the fact the console is now over 10 years and is not within it's warranty period, what I am asking is for an alternative...

 

Most probably was not a good idea to keep it stored up in the loft.

Electronics and cold, damp lofts do not go well together.

 

Did you hook it up to your T.V.? If you just hooked up the power brick, without inputting to your T.V., you'll get red rings; the rings show a fault, not overheating.
