    The sign in button on Microsoft Store does not work.


    I have a brand new computer. Fully updated.

    When I tried to get onto the Xbox app to download my gamepass games, I saw that the account was set to my Microsoft account and not my ancient xbox email that had my actual Gamepass subscription.

    If I log into the computer with that old email, the store and the xbox app are set correctly, but this is very annoying since literally everything else I own is on the microsoft email.

    When I go into the Gamepass app to switch accounts, the button does nothing.
    When I log out of the Microsoft store and click sign in, the button does nothing.

    I have tried updating, repairing, everything, but I am at the end of my rope here.

    Please help.

    The sign in button on Microsoft Store does not work.

    I am glad that everything is working now mate. One other workaround would be going into your PC Settings > Accounts. We could simply try removing your Microsoft Account there and sign in your Xbox account. It could work without recreating your Windows Profile.

    Yes. I ended up fixing it.

    For future reference to anybody looking for this. I noticed when I logged into the Xbox account on the PC, that the Sign Out and In buttons worked. There was some issue with the main account.

    I removed the main account from the computer, then recreated it, and now the buttons work again. It was a pain because I had to redo all my settings and installs from this morning, but the issue resolved.

    Sort of a scorched earth strategy.

    I just want to confirm, you have two Microsoft accounts which you referred as "Microsoft account" and "Ancient/Xbox account"?

    Did you also try to reset your Microsoft Store and the Xbox app?

    This means you're underage and need whoever is in charge of the family account to make the changes for you in the family account setting. If you're not in a family account yet. The link for the parent/guardian to set one up is here
