The sick only fully responds when pushed halfway (series x)

I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

- Select Reset console.

- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.

You able to test the controller on another console or a different controller on your console? This would help to determine if the controller is faulty or if it’s the console or the connection between the two.

Also just to confirm what Xbox console and controller models do you have? If it’s the original console and controller there is known controller isn’t and random disconnections, the ELITE Controller is fully customisable and can be stripped down and you can replace the parts as and when you want to change the look and feel and swap with newer parts.

I had a look in apex legends advanced controls. It seems to be the controllers sticks outer threshold is at the halfway point instead of on the outer edge and the response curve quite steep. I've tweaked it to get a somewhat similar experience to what I had on Ps4. The only thing is most games don't had this level of refinement.

Thanks for all the help. It's a new series X and I've tested another series S controller and it's the same. After searching it seems to be a combination of built in zones and response curves and that the sticks on the xbox have way less tension than ps4. Doesn't work well for my man hands.
