THE PRICE OF XBOX ONE GAMES ARE TOTALLY CRAZY. REALLY NEEDS TO BE LOWERED

when you got an amiga game you got all of it for one price, you could argue if you include the cost of everything the price of modern games has significantly increased. (Although i don't remember paying £50 for a game when I was younger (thats what they
are on the MS Store on average), that would have been well out of my price range)

Its an interesting debate the cost of games, value is subjective and changes, however compared to other things its still very cheap if you consider it by the hour. You could however argue almost everything to gaming price, with any other aspect of gaming.

 

Hang on, I thought every Amiga owner had shoe boxes full of copied software. If you guys didn't? you really should have nerded it out at copying parties.

Good point electroflying. The rich tend to become greedier-no offence. I'm sure that I can't get much support here because most of the guys answering are either helping or working for Microsoft.

And what "support" exactly are you expecting from a community forum? Nobody here has the power to change the prices of games.

 

Maybe it's rich guys who get the games with no hassle. It's obvious you guys got the games easily and think nothing of those under you. That's the wealthy these days. Don't try deny it . is a proven fact. Most of you guys that post here have about 100-200
games. Some have more than 300. So it's no surprise.

You guys won't understand what I'm saying because you buy games liked its candy(just making my comparison). It's the same guys answering most of the posts on this website.

please do not pretend that you know the back grounds of the people here, i personally know what's like to work 2 full time jobs and yet having the money to be able to eat once a day became a luxury that i had to cut back on, since then i've worked very hard
to learn new skills and get better jobs, now i have a wife and 2 cars and 2 dogs and able to afford a nice gaming hobby.

if being able to game is that important to you, then use it as a motivation to improve your financial situation, if you can't do that, then it is on you.

I have 150 games for xbox 1 and 40 for ps4 the only reason I could afford these is a gave up drinking and smoking there is not a new game a week worth buying maybe 1 month now I understand giving up smoking saves alot of money but what I spent on cigs I
put away in a pot and use it for my gaming addiction maybe try giving up something and putting the money away

I am nearly the exact opposite of everything in that post. I'm by no means rich... not even close, I have limited budget for anything I'm interested in and I have to carefully decide and select the games I wish to buy. I often use Gamefly to help me decide.

The bottom line is what it is and it isn't going to change because me, you, or anyone else believes it's "wrong". Whether or not everyone should be able to enjoy gaming is irrelevant. It is not a basic necessity, simple as that.

I pay $60 for [most] base games in my country. I have a pretty good idea of what to expect for my money, if I am smart about my purchase. I get games that will last me for awhile and I will play and replay often. 300 or more games? LOL... my "collection"
isn't even 1/10th that.

What you seem to be refusing to accept is that if the price went that low, the quality would follow. If I have to pay $60 for a game, I want my money's worth... and while the "money's worth" point is even arguable these days, one point is definitely not.
If you only pay $10 for a game, you'll only get "a $10 game". I've played a few games that cost $10 or less... no thanks. I'd rather pay $60 for a game that will last me awhile and hold my interest, even if it means I can't get them "like I buy candy", than
pay $10 for something I'll be tired of playing in a few weeks or less.

As others have pointed out, you can look around and hunt down deals and good buys if you want to save money or don't really have the extra to spend. While the country you are in may have you at a disadvantage with prices and you may have a perfectly understandable
reason to be upset, the truth is still undeniable. Regardless of what games cost in your country now, you're not going to pay $10 for a game and get a game that is worth more than $10.

 

OP I tried to help. You didn't say whether or not your country has a game rental service like Gamefly?

Rich? Not hardly. I earn a pretty good living, but I also know how to spend my money wisely and I don't have to have every new game on release date. I can't remember the last time I actually spent $60 for a game at launch. The few games I do get at launch
usually end up being $35 - $40 after deals.
