The phone linked with my old account is long gone, what can I do?

My childhood account hasn't been used for years as I moved to PC back in 2015/16 but I've been on the Xbox more lately and wanted to get into my old account instead of using a new one.

I know the E-Mail and Password, the issue is that there's a phone number linked to the account. This phone number is long gone, the phone was stolen years ago, so the number hasn't been in use (by me at least) for years. There's no backup E-Mail on the account so the only way to send a verification to my current E-Mail is through the stolen phone number.

Is there anything I can do or is the account gone forever? I really want to get back into the account as there's a lot of games on that account that were bought digitally. Any help is appreciated.

Xbox accounts that have not been accessed over a certain period of time get removed. While you may be able to see them and their details when searching for them, they will be inaccessible. I think that the cut off is 5yrs. I could be wrong about the specific length of time but if you haven't logged in to the Xbox account since 2015/2016, then that account is likely gone.

Can I get a link for Billing History? it's not letting me go through because the phone number connected to my account is old/worng.

check your email thats linked to your account it will say in there what the ban is for and for how long.

may have gone to junk mail too.

I have the same problem too. Ive gone through xbox support line and have no other means to recover my old account. I had hundreds of dollars in games and i believe my old account was hacked since i dont have access to my old games. All i have is my old
profile info. No access to the emails associated with my old account or the phone number.
