    I’ve been having this issue since the October 5th update. I’ve deleted my save data, and uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft 3-4 times but I have the same issue every time, and there seems to be no fix. I’ve used multiple working controllers to see if that was the issue and it was not. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I can’t play the game at all.

    There are several different versions of minecraft. Minecraft: Java edition is PC only and can only crossplay with Java players (mac, Lenox, PC) The minecraft that doesnt have a version next to it is the play together version or more commonly called bedrock.
    Bedrock is the version that can be played across mobile, console, and PC. There are also editions that are made specifically for most consoles and even a stand alone mobile version. Examples would be Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, Minecraft: Pocket Edition.
    These do not work with Bedrock which is just called Minecraft. Java is the most updated version of minecraft while bedrock would be right behind that one. The others I'm really not sure how often they update them if at all. Each edition of Minecraft has to
    be purchased separately. I happen to own both Minecraft: Xbox one edition and Minecraft since they released at separate times. I also have Java on my PC. As for your issue they do not have a Bedrock version on the 360.

    I can guarantee its not a controller related issue as I have even bought a new controller and I still have the EXACT same issue as you.

    I’ve updated everything and there’s nothing that doesn’t seem normal. Had this exact issue then updated the game, everything seemed well and fine till I tried to load onto a server and had to restart my game. Then the same issue came on where I can use all my buttons except the A button. Or No buttons at all and only the left joystick would work.

    I figured it out!

    Make sure all of your usb’s are unplugged for some reason it was registering my headset as a controller.

    I unplugged them all the restarted my controller and boom everything worked again.
