The name change box on Minecraft can't be clicked?

What edition of Minecraft do you have? Is it Bedrock or Java?

For Bedrock, it's linked with your Xbox gamertag. Please change it through https://social.xbox.com/ChangeGamerTag

You can't change the Primary email address on an Xbox/Microsoft account...you can just add secondary emails. AT least that's how I understand it. However, you can use a secondary email to sign in which, presumably, would then show that email in any correspondence etc. This page may help:

As to the name: If you log into your Microsoft account via a browser. At the "Home" page, click on your name as it appears in the top left...that should bring up a "Your Info" page...in the first box, you will see "Full name.....xxx"...click on that area (when the mouse hovers over it it will change to a darker grey) and it should bring up a box allowing you to change your name

To changer your Microsoft Gamertag, you need to pay a fee.

Please, follow these steps:

1) Sign in to your Xbox account:

2) Enter the new Gamertag you want to use.

Xbox will check its availability and let you know if it's available for use.

If everything is ok, you can confirm your selection and proceed with the change.

I understand that you want to keep your old Minecraft username after the migration. According to Mojang, your username should not change after the migration

However, if you need to change your username after the migration, you can follow these steps

Log in to minecraft.net.

Click on the My Games section.

Click where it says Minecraft: Java Edition, here you will be presented with two options to change the skin or change the name.

Click Profile Name.

You can now change your Java edition profile name

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having technical issues with Minecraft due to error code -1. This usually happens when your system can't detect your Java. Please follow my recommendations below.

Step 1: You need to open the Minecraft Launcher and click 'Launch Options'

*Note: If you're using the new launcher go to Minecraft: Java>Installations tab>Latest Release and click the 3 dots then edit. Now click more options then you'll see the Java executable box.

Step 2: In settings, make sure the 'Java executable' box is checked/ticked/set to green.

Step 3: In the text box next to 'Java executable', you need to remove the w oat java, and make sure that the code in the box reads like so: C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin\java.exe

Step 4: Save your changes then try launching the game.

Step 5: If that does not work, you made need to delete and re-install Java and/or Minecraft itself.
