The last week i bought the gold membership but i can't play online

please double check http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there.

If the subcription shows, try the following steps

1. Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)
2. Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again: http://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console
3. Redownload your profile

If these steps fail, then its best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) at
http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

Also keep in mind there currently is a known issue regarding redeeming codes which may be part of the issue you are experiencing, please see this link for the latest update on it: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status

1) I have never bought Gold membership - that won't be an issue

2) I bought DS on 22nd March and i could play through that week after Saturday

Well, if you say that Gold Membership is needed to play DS at online mode, i think it doesn't matter...and it is solved

Help! Bought Gold membership 2 weeks ago, at 25th october. Cant play online. Gold inactive! Heeelp!!

This is getting pretty ridiculous. I bought titanfall over a week ago and haven't been able to play it because you require a gold membership. But I can't get my gold codes to activate. What a waste of money.

Now i think xbox sucks because of gold membership it's like no use of buying the console if you can't play online gold membership sucks i think if they allow us to play online for free thats cool but u need gold membership and it sucks
