    As you can see, the name Eboy is marked as ''not allowed" yet the name Egirl is available.

    Same thing with names with Eboy in them such as:

    Any gamertag with Eboy in it is simply not allowed. The only answer I have gotten from a microsoft employee was this:

    That answer would make sense yet the names:



    1 letter off Walmart

    1 letter off Target

    or even the name Ebay itself is allowed

    Why is this the case?

    Why is the actual reasoning for the name Eboy being blocked, when the female version of it (Egirl is not?)

    Is there a way to ask for a change in the Xbox gamertag algorithm?

    It's possible that that gamertag is linked to a banned account which is why it is coming up as not allowed.

    As it's a 4 letter tag i suspect it would of been taken years ago & at some point got into trouble & was banned.

    If this is the case it may never be made available.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    I apologize but according to Xbox Support:

    "If you receive a message that says a gamertag is unavailable, this means that you'll need to try another. The gamertag that you're trying to create is either inappropriate for the Xbox service or can't be used at this time."

    It may just mean that it can't be used, Ross, and kindly try a different Gamertag just to make sure.
