the fuse on my xbox power cable keeps blowing

i have replaced the fuse multiple times with the correct 5 amp fuse and tried it in a few different wall outlets. its an xbox one s and im not sure how else i can try to fix it so if anyone could help me please that would be great thanks

Hi

Firstly please make sure you are using the correctly rated fuse for the plug do not put a larger fuse in as this is not advisable and may not be safe. After this you will need to try to work out why the fuse keeps blowing I would first try replacing the
power cable from the wall outlet to see if the power cable is causing the fuse to blow.

It's an Xbox One S and the cable is blowing? S has an internal power supply and uses a standard figure 8 generic cable. You mean original Xbox a one?

If it's the S it will have to be sent in for repair, the one you would need to get a new power supply for on the aftermarket

it is definitely an s but im not 100% sure if its the cable or not, is sending it for repair the only way to fix it? how much would that cost?

which version of the xbox one is it. may have to be sent for repair as i would not attempt to use if blowing fuses.

13a fuse, is that the main cable for the xbox or an extension lead, if the main cable for the xbox this should only have a 5a fuse.

if it is an extension lead then replace the extension lead, but damage to the xbox may have accurred due to fuse blowing multiple times.

The power cable won't matter at all if it fits and has the right fuse in because the power supply unit controls the output and you can't go above the mains input of 230-240 volts. Don't jam the cable and check that it's an exact fit, if it is it will work
in the same way that any power cord does... that being it will allow electricity to travel through it and have a fuse that blows if the current is too great.
