The fence keeps disappearing????

I saw some post of the same. Guess I will have to try that and see what happens. I would expect it's a DE spawning issue.

They could have jumped on a block and gotten out? I have seen a lot of posts on this seems glitching with despawning atm but one thing i have heard is if they can move more than 20 blocks in there cage they can despawn, so maybe try making their cage smaller.

I agree with the comments so far, I tried very early on to create a pig farm, and it was all for nothing. Shortly after trapping several pigs in place behind some well fenced in areas (even having stacked fences more than four blocks high) they still disappeared
when I walked away or didn't look at them for a bit.





I gave up building pens after they kept disappearing and worked on monster traps instead. They seem to pay off better in the meantime while waiting for the breeding update.

I think that the chickens do eventually disappear. i had about 6 or 7 of them in a fenced off area so they couldnt jump out and i came back and there was only one left

I'm playing on the same world that I created when the game came out and don't have a problem with animals despawning. Has anyone that has had disappearing animals actually seen them despawn? Wolves can also jump up and kill sheep if the fence is only one
high.

Another thing, when you load up your world, and if an animal was by a fence when you quit the game, it will glitch to the top of the fence and get out that way. Animals can also get trapped inside walls when you load your world and they can die that way.
