The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan

I've read a lot of older articles about this game's co-op system being incompatible with special characters in gamertags so as soon as me and my gf encountered an error in co-op that's the first thing we tried. We both switched our gamertags to something unique with no special characters like #. However, we still have a problem that as soon as we click "Shared story" in the main menu of the game, we are greeted by a message saying "A Network error has occured." We both recently got Xbox game pass and this game seemed liked a cool game to play together. Is there any fix for this?

Neither one of us has any problems with any other game on xbox or any other platform so I find it very hard to believe that there would be any problems with the internet connection.

I've heard that The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan is suppose to be great. I will watch a few streams of that to see how good it is.

Hi PoukerFin, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

After you have made the changes for your Gamertag kindly remove and re-add both profiles if you're on Xbox and if you're on PC, sign out both on Xbox App as well as on Microsoft Store then restart it before signing back in.

REMOVE ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

3. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

4. When you're finished, select Close.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

ADD ACCOUNT

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

3. Enter the Email address and the password.

4. Read the Microsoft Service Agreement and Privacy Statement, and then select I Accept.

5. Follow the steps to configure your Sign-In & Security preferences to add your Microsoft account to your Xbox console.

DSR factors is already off that I see. Tried on and off and same thing for me. To me Xbox Box Games Pass PC should still be in beta with how I see it working. If there is no real support on this issue, then just will chalk it up on Microsoft screwed this
one up.

Impressive PC you have there. This is clearly an issue with the Game Pass version, nothing wrong with your seriously impressive PC specs.

I tested this game myself just and I have had issues with changing the resolution. I have a i7 8700, with an RTX 2080 and 16GB RAM. and an LG 27GL850 144Hz G-Sync 1440P monitor.

When I first ran the game it insisted on 4K in fullscreen as this is a resolution I have as max res when using NVIDIA DSR Factors.

If I turn off DSR factors, it maxes at 2560x1440 which of course is my native screen resolution. But, it won't let me lower it.
