The Crew 2 is finally out, yay me :)

Happy weekend peeps.

I finally got The Crew 2 for Xbox One X. Reason why I didn't get it for PC is because the Xbox One X is just as powerful as a gaming PC (the 12GB GDDR5 326GB/s bandwidth) AND because I have over 100 friends on Xbox and a couple of them also have it now.

I did get rid of a few games I never play anymore. Got it from JB Hi Fi (if you're Australian or NZ, you'll know what JB Hi Fi is). Traded in Sea Of Thieves, COD BO3, Halo 5 and Halo MCC. Microsoft is charging NZ$109 for the digital version where as JB Hi
Fi was charging only NZ$92 but paid only NZ$52 for it after trading the other games. That's a fair and quick deal.

I'm going to do a YouTube video now with my Hauppauge HD PVR2. I also have a white laptop in the photos (HP), my high end custom PC with a window case (don't worry, it has Windows 10 just like Xbox One has a Windows 10 like UI, so it's still related to the
Xbox One discussion ^u^) in the photos, a Sony KD43EX8000E 4K HDR TV (2017 model) which I got January this year and got $500 off since it was on sale including delivery and installation, which has an X-Reality-PRO processor and advanced Triluminos anti-glare
display which has a wider colour palate and doesn't reflect like a mirror in a room with sunlight coming through the windows.

Now I can enjoy playing on a super large map with incredible graphics and have a lot of fun cruising around in a jet boat, helicopter, hovercraft, car, plane, get to customize my avatar, and get to buy houses in awesome locations and walk around my houses.

OK time for some photos. Hey, young people do young things. Now I'm probably going to crash this forum cause I have several photos I want to post. But it's the weekend. And it's sunny today even though it's winter for Australia and NZ (we get our long summer
break over December/January. It feels weird to have summer in the middle of the year. Work hard and at the end of the year (not the middle) feels like the best time to wind down.

Crew Rank question

Right, ok...I understand that the crew RP is not separate, and is a subcategory of RP. Looks like Social Club just updated my profile and shows my personal Crew rank, title and Crew RP progress bar, so I finally get it.

After sorting out all the info I finally have a grasp of my GTA career - my rank within my crew is 5 out of 45 members, my crew rank is 82, my GTA Online rank is 86, and our crew rank is 25452.

The disc file size for this game is something like only 23GB and there's a day one update for it which is ONLY 448MB, that's 0.44GB big. Not as crazy file size as COD and Forza 5 and Halo games have on Xbox One. Very satisfied. JB Hi Fi isn't the only one
having a sale today. Kathmandu is having a 50% off winter clothing sale, managed to get a high quality top for well under $100 which will keep me warm. Polartec 200. Cause my other 3 tops are only like thin ones for summer (this excludes the amount to t shirts
I have which is a bit cracra). Well temperatures during winter in my city average 9'C - 16'C and can't be bothered looking up the conversion process to 'F for the American peeps.

I'm happy. Just stuck in the game disc 10 minutes ago and it's now ready to play, completely installed and completely updated. All these other disc games have far too much bloat cause they don't take this quick to install first time and update, typically
on Xbox One game installs and game updates take longer. Or maybe because my X console has incredible hardware.

Awesome. I went out with Paige today we got it from the same retailer. Dad gave me $200 so I got Paige a copy too and we spent the rest on lunch had some change left, I'm at her house ^.^

I get to do all those things too (minus the buying houses bit, because who needs houses when you can co-opt million dollar MANSIONS with infinity pools and your own maids and gardeners), but my game is a certified banger beloved by its community! It's called
Ghost Recon Wildlands and is way more organic and playable than The Crew 2 #imho. Plus, there's an actual NARRATIVE with cameo appearances from the Predator and Sam Fisher!

Even though The Crew 2 is published by Ubisoft, it was developed by Ivory Tower. Their track record isn't the best with critical hits, and a quick glance at Metacritic's "all-time high" list shows your GOTY is currently nestled at #567. Blink and you'll
miss it? Actually, I'm not surprised the file size is (relatively) small, because I downloaded the free beta two weeks ago - which was actually the *same* size - and was left singularly unimpressed. After the tutorial you're dropped into a pauper's rendition
of Forza Horizon, where every stony-faced avatar greets you with disconsolation. It's as if you don't even exist (because actually you don't... try finding your ACTUAL BODY while gravitating through those houses lmao).

As for "customizing" the avatars? Yeah right, what's the point when there are only the same seven or eight templates to choose from and each one looks gimped? Hate to say it, but I think your GOTY will be traded sooner rather than later! ^_o

 

O yea, forgot to mention but we like your photos. We tried the game and it looks good. My boyfriend has been playing it on his pc, I tried to get him on xbox but I give up ^.^* well he sold his PS4 last month. We popped into JB this
afternoon and saw a lot of boys at the store getting the game, as well as two old guys in like their 40's getting it; and all of them apart for two of them, got a PS4 copy. This kid said I should get a PS4, but my mum got rid of my PS4 thanks to some douches
who hit on you just cause you're a girl. It doesn't mean I've been hit on xbox, but the way the people did it on 4 was really toxic. Actually the two boys who got it for Xbox just smiled and said hey. (I only had a PS4 for a few months 2 years ago to play
with my boyfriend but I consider myself a lite gamer). I think the people on xbox are more nicer than on the other side.

We were served by a young women who goes to vic uni, she gave us a $10 discount on the game. Well at least if you get bored of the game you can play your new Jurassic game, right? But I hypothesis we'll be playing the game for a while from how you and Laura
that British girl we met were hyping about it :3

 

The game is alright. But there IS a lack of avatar choices, like the other person said, it's just these limited templates. The game doesn't seem to have realistic physics but switching between travel modes (air, water, road) is seamless without being cutting
to a long loading screen. The game looks fabulous apart from the avatars. In player choice, the girls appear skinnier but their hair is tied in a bun. It would be more interesting if they had like hair worn loose or in a ponytail. Not sure if there will be
shops where you can buy clothes for your character. I like how quick the game installed too, actually think it installed faster than mc. My dad tried the jet boat driving, can tell he loves it. My dad doesn't really play video games cause he thinks it's for
kids only.

I was expecting more in the avatar choices too, went for the blonde girl, well, I hope it's a girl, hard to tell cause of the limited templates, I did see some bigger avatars. They were the guys, right?....

The person who served us was sweet. But yeah, a lot of guys in our area are getting the game. Saw large posters on the windows promoting the game. Laura sent me a friend request but I declined it. She's a bit too over the top for me

APPROVED. Well, that's when I'm not racing, if you can even call it that ha. Well in order to play this game, I do have to drive on the wrong side of the road. So I guess... I'm not a perfectionist after all.

 

You think summer in the middle of the year feels weird? Not nearly as weird as Christmas time in the summer.
