if in warranty then book for repair, if out of warranty and is an s type or newer your could pay to have it repaired, or go third party repair shop route.

self repair cannot be discussed here though.

Since your Xbox One is out-of-warranty, your only options are:

• Replace your Xbox One.
• Get it serviced by Microsoft.

its possible your xbox is overheating you may need to clean out the fan vents,

id suggest using either compressed air or open the xbox up if past warranty (not suggested to do) as some parts are replaceable under warranty by microsoft, and could cause foreseeable issues

If you are hearing a clicking noise coming from your internal hard drive. This click would sound like a hard metal on metal click I would suggest sending in your Xbox for repair. You can do that here:

If you are unsure of the clicking you can always try a factor reset and see if that corrects it, however if the sound you describe is what I think it is your HD may be on its way to crashing.

While moving your games to an external will keep them downloaded and off the internal once that internal drive crashes the external will be useless as the Xbox OS resides on the internal drive. Repair it as soon as possible.

That was my first thought of the clicking noise, too. Harddrive click of death. That's bad.
