Sorry that you are having issues with your console. I understand the frustration of not wanting to be online all the time. Most of the online connectivity has to do with security and convenience. It would be nice to have the option to be completely
Offline, but when Microsoft initially announced the Xbox one it had security features that would allow you check the DRM for a game once and then it would make the disk useless, The General audience was against this feature and demanded that they should be
able to "Trade-in" their physical copy when they are done with the game. Because Microsoft had to back track they ended up coming with this option, which requires us to be online more often.

Hopefully they will be able to find a Nice balance between the two options with the next console.

Umm.xbox.360.didnt allow.license transfer per month

Its only allowed every 3months meaning 4 per year so 5 times home license transfer per yesr is pretty generous

Licenses are for.you to.use not the whole neighbor hood

If.you choose to.lend out the offline license thats your choice

You only get one not.unlimited as the support mentioned and really this should.be under uservoice

You have.to.remember that now you have membership tied to your home console which was not included with the license transfer

How.do.you propose they do checks against theft ?

You could basically do what you are suggesting.on unlimited.amount of consoles back in the xbox 360 days thst would earn you a console ban

You still had to connect to.live you just didnt have the additional benefits of.sharing gold access like the ps4 or the xbox one

Yeah that's the problem brad. It should never be forced but an option to play multiplayer/ co op. That user voice is a joke. been there. All I got was harassed and belittled because I supposedly didn't post it right or simply because They didn't like my

Nowadays most games are multiplayer. Look at most of the new ones that have come out lately, they are strictly online play. As there is always the option to play offline, they will most likely leave it as it is due to the growing demand for multiplayer.
It really doesn't take long to switch the settings to go offline or online. You can submit an idea on
Xbox ideas if you like to.
