The ads are locking up the game.

The ad screen comes up but no ad and a black screen results.

Ads Locking Up the Game

I don't mind the ads. However, Skyscanner ad is locking up the game, even caused a crash to desktop. The program doesn't seem to have any problems as long as other ads are showing. But, once an ad starts to change and it is to the Skyscanner ad it begins
locking up or lagging badly. Making the game unplayable.

I already uninstalled Microsoft Crossword (which I liked very much) because of the same reasons. If this keeps up with Jigsaw I will uninstall it as well as such performance is unreasonable.

ads locking up games

Having same problem across several of the casual games - ads in the side boxes either lock up or completely shut down the games. Kind of frustrating when you have solved an entire puzzle and are tossed before getting credit and have to start over.

 

Same thing happening to mine

 

Exact same thing -- Solitaire collection and Jigsaw. I tried to go around it by clicking on the purchase Upgrade to disable ads, but that doesn't work. It lets you try and purchase by nothing from the games.

 

Please fix!! My screen is stuck on an ad video. I played every day for months, and now I need to look for a different solitaire game.

 

I found that a new adobe flash player was the reason. I uninstalled it and now the ads and the games work.

 

have played this solitaire for two years or more .now its crap so time to get rid of it.not a happy camper.

 

Adobe flash upgrade won't help those of us playing on Surface RT/Surface 2. It needs an app update to fix.

Me too. Started yesterday (6/23) but went away after a reboot. Now a reboot no longer fixes it. I get a black screen showing 0:00 left in the "ad".

 

Apparently this is a common problem. I believe that it started shortly after I upgraded Adobe Flash player as noted below. Unfortunately, flash player is needed for other apps so an uninstall will cause other problems. It would be great if someone would
resolve this problem for all of us.

 

Same thing is happening to me

 

Same problem. Also, with other games (Soduku, Minesweeper, etc). My Flash Player update was 11 June and games had continued to work. Sometimes I would have to X-out of the black screen, but then could always come back in and play game. Today, via Automatic
Update, Microsoft had a Critical Update (KB3074219) which affected Flash Player. Since then, nothing seems to allow the game to be played. I am wondering if that Critical Update is also part of the problem. I have a Restore Point before that update, but
am reluctant to try too many things to fix the issue.

 

Wanted to play the daily challenge games of the Microsoft Solitaire Collection 6/23/15. Clicked on the Tri-Peaks icon first. As usual, an ad started to play, but it stopped with just a black screen and froze. I uninstalled the game and restarted my computer.
I then re-installed the collection and the same thing happened. I rebooted the computer today 6/24/15 and an ad came up and froze the screen black. Down at the bottom of the black screen you see a time bar set to 00 and an opportunity to upgrade to no ads.
I tried playing the Jigsaw games and they worked fine. It's just the Microsoft Solitaire Collection for me so far. Please find a fix!!!
