    The lack of ability to check for game updates has became EXTERMELY frustrating and no solutions have been provided expect for restarting the beyond crappy Microsoft store that has the audacity to not work with XBOX PC APP. I have several games I play that i get from the game pass as well as the xbox store. 98% of the time it fails UPDATES to theses games, Dead By Daylight being one, Doom 3 from the EA sections of the games DOES NOT even load up. I am sick of trying, resetting and ultimately having to uninstall and reinstall 40-75GB games just to get the new updates. Microsoft if your not going to handle these issues that have been raging on since 2019 Or sooner as far as I have looked into. Solutions we need solutions not temporary fixes or uninstalls. So my question is how long is it going to take to get a [mod removed] CHECK FOR UPDATES in the xbox app its self. And make it freaking work. Cause this is beyond ridiculous.

    I don't think I've ever had a game require a complete re-install. If the OP is "resetting and ultimately having to uninstall and reinstall 40-75GB games just to get the new updates. " it might not be the store or the update system at all. I'd start looking deeper into the system itself. Is Windows corrupted, virus or other malicious software, hard drive issues"

    I'm sorry if you stating that the games needs to be reinstalled every time there is an update you have screws loose in your head. This is a topic for Microsoft to see and take the community seriously or someone that has a serious actual fix. My pass runs out in 5 days ill take my gaming to steam. Im done with nothing getting fixed this has been a KNOWN issue for YEARS . Steam, Stadia, GeoforceNow, And many many other platforms have absolutely no updates downloading issues. Xbox isn't even trying and that's fine. I get its old , Xbox is old and needs to be pushed out of the gaming world. But reinstalling a game for every update?? That's a waste of my bandwidth and time and energy WHY should Xbox's system make me loose , cost me more data for the massive game installs i have to keep reinstalling. Like at this point ill cut my losses if they choose to do nothing. I pay for these services that don't work. Pay for services that don't work the way they should. Maybe I should be like everyone else and sue. I pay for a service that does not work sounds like a great case to me.

    ive smashed that button a dozen times all day , it does nothing says i am good to go all apps and games have the latest updates but again 1.140 Patch 5.1.1 - 10 August 2021 was released today. I cannot play with friends as it kicks me or them due to improper versions conflicts. ive used the wsreset method , ive googled this issue to no fix that allows you to download updates any other way than reinstalling.

    This options fails does not pick up the update for Dead By Daylight as seen its saying up to date and the current version is 5.1.1.0 So this feature is not working

    It's not as intuitive as it should be, but in downloads and updates from the store you can manually update games if they show one.

    It'd be nice if the app was more obvious, but under the titles the do say "update available"
