I suppose you mean that you can only see the text that the server host writes in the text chat and not the text of other players on the same server.

Just to confirm, have you checked that your account privacy settings are correctly configured using the following link?

You should have the following options set to "Allow":

* You can play with people not part of Xbox Live.
* You can create and join clubs.
* You can join multiplayer games.
* You can add friends.

If the issue persists even with the above options correctly configured, and since I see that you are playing on a mobile device, as you mentioned in the thread category, it will be necessary to contact the game developers (Mojang) as they are the ones responsible for managing and ensuring the proper functioning of the Minecraft version for mobile devices.

Do Not name the offender. It will be deleted anyway.

You have already done what you can.... It's best to just move on.

No need to keep tabs with the offending player, just play on without them.
