    Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface not showing as legacy device


    The problem originated when I tried playing Forza Horizon 4 after the Fortune Island update. After having had several issues with just getting the update installed I hoped I could finally play again. I couldn't have been more wrong. As some might remember
    from Forza Horizon 3 the Teredo Tunneling Adapter is a pain to work with if not working correctly.

    So I tried reinstalling Teredo but it doesn't show in the device manager. Also doesn't show as a legacy device. I tried everything I found online so far. Doing the netsh stuff in the cmd.exe, changing the registry, dis and reenabling IPV6 nothing. I am on
    the most current version of Windows, have all the latest drivers installed. I just wanna be able to play the game and at the moment I see no way of resolving this issue. Is there maybe a manual download and install file for Teredo???

    GTX 1070ti

    Hi ,

    I know it can be frustrating having to troubleshoot something that should work but everything is going to encounter some issue at some point in time.

    I found an article that goes over a way to install the teredo adapter:

    Are you not able to find the adapter on step 8 when trying to add it as a legacy hardware?
    Hey, thanks for staying in touch. Calmed down again and now ready to finnally fix this.

    Step 8 is where my roblem lies. When I open legacy devices and then navigate to Network adapters, then Microsoft there is no Teredo listed on the right. This is the only issue I've been having. That's why i was asking if there is any other way to install
    the Teredo Interface.

    IllI try to get some Screenshots tomorrow.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I'll look into that, for sure.

    What seems odd to me is, that it has worked before and I didn't make any changes to my local network.

    Will still see if that is the problem at hand. If that is the case and I do manage to resolve that problem, should I then be able to install Teredo on my local machine again, or won't that be necessary?

    Otherwise, is there maybe a way to work around using Teredo.

    I will update when I get home. Until then many many thanks for helping me work through this.

    I've been going through the Forza Forum looking at most of the posts outlining my problem. Sadly no new ways to approach my problem could be found. I don't know how exactly the Windows legacy drivers work, but the easiest solution would be to find out how
    to manually install Teredo when it doesn't show up in the legacy devices. I have found numerous people with the same problem but in all those threads there was one common thing. No actual solution. I'm starting to get the feeling even Microsoft, doesn't know
    how to solve this problem, which is a goddamn joke given that Forza Horizon 4 is supposed to be focusing on the multiplayer aspect and you can't even get that working properly. The whole situation is just really unfortunate and I really don't wanna be rude
    but when paying full price for a product I expect it to work without having to go through hours of troubleshooting.
