    Teams Calls no longer working on Xbox One S


    Hi,

    my daughter has been user her Xbox to access Teams for school over the last year, but today it has stopped allowing her to join calls.

    I'm aware MS are phasing out IE and Edge(original) which is most likely why the calls feature has been dropped, but I cant see a way to get a different browser on the Xbox.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Xbox One S no longer working

    Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    We will be resetting your console and keeping your games and apps through the Xbox Troubleshooter page. If this didn't work, yes, the console needs to be repaired. If it's no longer in warranty you can check this link on how much it will cost and it may take 10-15 business days: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne...

    In this case, we just need to reset your console keeping your games and apps through the Xbox Troubleshooter page. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, and games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Make sure to follow the steps accordingly to access it:

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

    4. Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

    5. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

    When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please click on "Reset this Xbox" then "Reset and keep my games and apps".

    Was this ever fixed? Cortana broke answering Skype calls on my parents xbox one S, and reversion to xbox left it broken, with 'xbox answer' no longer being a command, and 'xbox open that' just opening a menu. My parents are too old to play around with
    a controller trying to select items in a list to answer a call...

    I didn't see anywhere, prior to trying out Cortana, that reverting to xbox voice commands didn't actually work correctly...

    You will need a Kinect Adapter for the Xbox One S (which will also work with the Xbox One X). Unfortunately, Microsoft no longer manufactures the adapter, and they are becoming rather expensive and difficult to find.
