    Taskbar Pops Up in Full Screen Games


    I'm using the Xbox Game Pass for PC and games that allow you move the cursor to the bottom of the screen have the taskbar pop up when you do so. It hides again if you move the mouse away, but for games that have things that need to be clicked near the bottom
    of the screen, this can be extremely annoying.

    Does anyone know how to fix this so the taskbar does not show up while in a full screen game or app? Key word being fix. Hiding the taskbar or ending the windows explorer task are not fixes.

    go into the game settings and check if they are running full screen, if they are in borderless or windowed then the task bar will keep doing that.

    They are indeed running in full screen. Even if the game was running in borderless, the taskbar should not be exhibiting this behavior. All other games ran through platforms such as Steam, EGS, Uplay, etc. don't have this issue in borderless or fullscreen.
    I'm not sure why it's exclusive to the Xbox Games for PC.

    One thing to add, I noticed that moving the mouse to the top of screen also pops up the typical window bar (file, minimize, maximize, and the "x" button to close the window) in the same fashion as the taskbar. It's almost like these games are not being treated
    as a full screen application by Windows.

    1. Right-click on the taskbar and select Settings on the context menu.

    2. If you are using a desktop, make sure Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode is on. If you are using a laptop, make sure Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode is on.
